SARAH PALIN: CONSERVATIVE CENTER OF GRAVITY

February 4, 2010

From the moment she was discovered in 2008,  Sarah Palin has snow-balled into a Conservative center of gravity for the majority of Americans who treasure traditional values.  Later this week, the former Governor of Alaska will be speaking in Nashville, TN, at a Tea Party gathering.  “I look forward to meeting many Americans who share a commitment to limited government, common sense, and personal responsibility,” writes Palin (USATODAY Op-Ed).

The Tea Party is a non-commercial, true grass-roots uprising consisting of Americans who are no longer willing to accept the governmental status quo or the current evolution to hyper-Big Government and Obama Marxism.

Sarah Palin’s willingness to actually follow-through with her Conservative principles, which include the protection of weaker Americans, once again found center stage.  President Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, was recently reported by the Wall Street Journal to have referred to attack-ads against fellow Democrats, as ‘f****ing retarded.”  Anyone would be outraged by such language, particularly from a public figure in high political office.  The Democrats like to portray themselves as being sensitive to the plight of special needs citizens but this faux concern is a lie.  It should be noted that Mrs. Palin’s youngest child, a boy named Trig, was born with Down’s Syndrome.

“Just as we’d be appalled if any public figure of Rahm’s stature ever used the “N-word” or other such inappropriate language, Rahm’s slur on all God’s children with cognitive and developmental disabilities – and the people who love them – is unacceptable, and it’s heartbreaking.”

Palin went on to demand Obama respond to the numerous condemnations of Emanuel’s remarks by advocates for the disabled.

Sarah Palin has lately taken President Obama to task for his inconsistancy with the truth.  When comparing Candidate Obama with President Obama we find that President Obama is not the man he claimed to be during the Presidential campaign.  Palin points out:

Critiquing the president’s first year in office, Palin declared that “candidate Obama over-promised; President Obama has under-delivered.”

“Candidate Obama promised us that his economic stimulus package would be targeted and pork-free, but President Obama signed a stimulus bill loaded with pork and goodies for corporate cronies,” Palin wrote. “Candidate Obama railed against Wall Street greed, but President Obama cozied up to bankers as he extended and expanded their bailouts.”

Sarah Palin is a person of the people of this country; she did not grow-up in the lap of luxury or in the environment of entitlement that many of the political elites enjoyed.  Instead, Palin understands the struggles of the majority of our citizens.  Palin values the family unit and traditional school subjects and the things that make a soverign country a nation.  As the radio personality, Michael Savage says, “borders, language and culture” are the keys to a united America and these are important principles for Sarah Palin, in addition to energy independence and a strong national defense.  Our national defense begins with tough border security and Palin is ready to make some changes we can believe in.

Now, if only someone would clue Sarah Palin in on the fact the we don’t want John McCain re-elected as our Senator and to stop campaigning for him. I would much rather have JD Hayworth in there. At least he believes in border security. After he wrote his book on the subject, the left really hammered him.

To the author: I like that title: Conservative Center of Gravity, when referring to Sarah Palin. Hadn’t seen or heard that before. It does seem to be accurate and I think it will stick.

Regarding that foul Rahm Emanuel: Why is it that no other Republicans came forward to chastise this mean and course man? Even President Obama seems to let the slights against our developmentally disabled citizens go by without a concern. This ‘pass’ shows what kind of man is our President (not much of a man).

Given Palin’s Conservative views about what is America and how to protect our country from enemies, I can see how the Democrats and liberal Main Stream Media fear her. Also, Palin favors drilling for oil in America and off our oil-rich coast; this will provide energy independence and lots of jobs in America. Why don’t the Dems want to have these private sector jobs that will employ thousands of our countrymen?

The President and the other dim-witted Democrats seem to think that we can live without petroleum; that just is not the case right now. Oil is used for more than gasoline. If our education system was effective for educating our children, those children would know that plastics, useful chemicals and building supplies are also made from petroleum. Of course, it is not in the interests of the Democrats to have an educated population and that is why the Democrats oversee the Dept of Education. The political class sends their children to private education facilities.

Keith: I agree with you about John McCain; McCain should retire and go out on a high note, rather than be retired due to his loss in the next election. McCain is an Open-Borders supporter, which means McCain supports illegal behavior (illegally entering this country). The left fears Hayworth so they will continue to hammer him.

Conservatives were just swimming in a riptide of “compassionate conservatism” even before the phrase was coined by GWB. Republicans became entangled in the stinging tentacles of the left’s agenda once Reagan left office and though there was a glimmer of hope in 1994 with the Contract with America, that too was swept out to sea. It is precisely because a blatant Marxist regime has come into full power that America has finally lifted its head above the pounding waves. And it is precisely because a regular “Joe” such as Sarah unflinchingly ignores the stings of the box-jelly Left to accurately expose the heart of the Marxist beast that more regular “Joes” have gravitated to Conservatism. It’s been a long time since someone with navigational bearing in terms of convictions, common sense, honesty, and bravery could “bring home” Conservatives with the passion we have been witnessing since Sarah came on the scene. The center of gravity for all Conservatives is the Constitution and Sarah is an effective and efficient conduit to that center of gravity with her no-nonsense approach.

Sarah Palin is not a fit candidate for the Presidency or Vice Presidency of the United States of America. She is a paid speaker now, since resigning from Alaska Governorship. She was a marginal governor. John McCain propelled her to national prominence in his effort to capture the woman’s vote in his bid for the Presidency. She turned rogue and it all backfired on him.

President Barack Obama is attempting to reverse the antics of George W. Bush’s failed Presidency. It will take time and Americans must be patient. President Obama has what it take to make the right changes.

      Mr. Stern,
I disagree with your comment. What is wrong with being a paid speaker? All former Presidents do it. There is nothing illegal about being a paid speaker. You mentioned that Palin was a “marginal governor”; what evidence do you have to back that up? As one of two U.S. Senators for the State of Illinois, Obama was absent from making a yes or no vote much of the time, even when he was ‘present’ in the Senate Chamber. How can you say that Obama is attempting to reverse President Bush when the evidence points to Obama using taxpayer money to ‘give’ the car companies to the Labor Unions and ‘give’ taxpayer’ money to his political supporters. Also, America is becoming weaker in our war-fighting after just one year of your hero, Obama’s Presidency.

Obama will go down in history as one of the most corrupt and ineffective Presidents in our history. I don’t ever think that a ‘President’ Palin would ever hire the likes of foul-mouthed Rahm Emanuel.
